1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/4 cup sugar (for topping)
1/4 cup butter (for topping)
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
2. In a large bowl, mix together flour, 1 cup sugar, baking soda, and salt.
3. In another bowl, whisk together milk, oil, and eggs.
4. Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients; mix until just combined.
5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan.
6. Mix cinnamon and 1/4 cup sugar together; sprinkle half over the batter in the pan.
7. Add the remaining batter and top with the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture.
8. Bake for about 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
9. Allow to cool before removing from the pan.
Notes
Measure flour accurately by spooning it into the measuring cup and leveling it off.
Don’t overmix the batter; just combine until no dry streaks remain.
You can increase the cinnamon for a more intense flavor.
Try drizzling icing or spreading butter on top before serving.
