Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pie crust (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 cup fresh pecans
  • 8 oz dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup (or maple syrup/honey)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and bake the pie crust for about 10 minutes until lightly golden.
  2. Melt dark chocolate and butter together over a double boiler, stirring until smooth.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Gradually mix in the melted chocolate mixture.
  4. Spread the pecans evenly across the crust, then pour the chocolate filling over the top.
  5. Bake for approximately 50 minutes, until the filling is set but slightly wobbly in the center.
  6. Allow the pie to cool for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes
