Ingredients

- 2 cups sushi rice
- 1 cup fresh sushi-grade tuna, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Chopped green onions
- Fresh herbs (cilantro or parsley)
- Optional: Diced vegetables (carrots, cucumber), sautéed mushrooms
Instructions
- Rinse the sushi rice until the water runs clear. Cook according to package instructions and let cool slightly.
- In a bowl, combine tuna, soy sauce, sesame oil, green onions, and any additional ingredients. Mix well.
- Wet your hands, take a handful of rice, flatten it, and place a teaspoon of the tuna mixture in the center. Roll it into a ball.
- Place rice balls on a parchment-lined plate, keeping them moist with a damp cloth if not serving immediately.
Notes
For added flavor, consider serving with lightly toasted nori sheets.
