  • Author: Marlene Quinn
  • Total Time: 240 minutes
  • Yield: 8 servings 1x
  • Diet: Vegetarian

Description

A delightful no-bake dessert featuring layers of creamy pudding, fresh strawberries, and ripe bananas, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 2 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups milk (regular, almond or coconut)
  • 1 container (8 oz) Cool Whip or whipped cream
  • 1 cup vanilla wafers or graham crackers, crushed

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pudding by whisking together the instant pudding mix and milk until smooth, then fold in the whipped cream until well combined.
  2. Wash and slice the strawberries and bananas right before layering to prevent browning.
  3. Begin layering in a large trifle bowl: start with a layer of crushed vanilla wafers, followed by pudding, then strawberry and banana slices. Repeat until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of pudding.
  4. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 240 minutes (4 hours) or overnight.
  5. Before serving, top with additional whipped cream and crushed wafers for added crunch.

Notes

Use a serrated knife to slice strawberries gently, and avoid using overripe bananas for the best texture.
