- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 ½ tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground nutmeg
- ½ tsp ground cloves
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- ¾ cup milk
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil
- ½ cup Fireball whiskey
- ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
- ¼ cup Fireball whiskey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs and mix in the milk, vegetable oil, and Fireball whiskey.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently fold together until just combined.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared cupcake liners, filling them about two-thirds full.
- Bake for approximately 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool on a wire rack.
- In a bowl, whip the softened butter until light and fluffy. Gradually add the powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Stir in Fireball whiskey and vanilla extract.
- Once the cupcakes are completely cooled, generously frost them with the whiskey frosting.
- Optional: sprinkle with cinnamon or drizzle caramel on top before serving.
Notes
Make sure to let your cupcakes cool completely before frosting to prevent the frosting from melting.
