  • 4 cups apples (mix of Granny Smith and Honeycrisp)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Roll out your pie crust and fit it into a 9-inch pie dish.
  3. Peel and slice apples into thin wedges, toss with lemon juice, granulated sugar, and cinnamon.
  4. In a bowl, mix sour cream, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth, then fold in the apples.
  5. Pour the apple mixture into the prepared pie crust.
  6. Bake on a baking sheet for 15 minutes, then reduce temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Cool for at least an hour before slicing.
