Description
Deliciously crispy quesadillas filled with seasoned ground beef and melted cheese, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (higher fat content recommended)
- 4 flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- Condiments: ketchup, mustard, pickles, or salsa
- Veggies: onions, peppers, or mushrooms (optional)
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, seasoning with salt, pepper, and garlic powder until browned.
- If using, add onions or peppers to the skillet and sauté until tender.
- Warm the tortillas in another skillet to ensure they are pliable.
- On one half of each tortilla, layer the cooked beef, cheese, and any additional toppings, then fold the tortilla in half.
- Cook each quesadilla in the same skillet until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side, ensuring the cheese melts completely.
- Slice into triangles and serve with salsa or your choice of condiments.
Notes
Keep an eye on the heat while cooking to avoid burning the quesadilla. It’s best to warm tortillas before filling them.
