Description

Deliciously savory sausage stuffing balls with a crispy exterior, perfect for gatherings and celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground sausage (Italian or breakfast)
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (fresh or dried)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup fresh rosemary (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup fresh sage (chopped)
  • 1 cup sautéed mushrooms (chopped)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Sauté mushrooms in a skillet with butter until golden (about 5-7 minutes) and set aside to cool.
  3. In a large bowl, combine ground sausage, breadcrumbs, sautéed mushrooms, and fresh herbs.
  4. Whisk the eggs and add to the mixture, drizzling in chicken broth until the mixture is moist but not too wet.
  5. Shape the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, turning once halfway through, until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  7. Serve warm and enjoy!
