Description

A delightful treat that combines rich caramel, crunchy pretzels, and smooth chocolate, enhanced with a sprinkle of sea salt for the perfect sweet-salty balance.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups pretzel pieces
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel candies, unwrapped
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Flaked sea salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Spread pretzel pieces across the parchment paper in a single layer.
  3. In a saucepan, combine caramel candies and water over medium heat, stirring until melted and smooth.
  4. Drizzle the melted caramel over the pretzels, ensuring even coverage.
  5. Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  6. Pour the melted chocolate over the caramel-covered pretzels, spreading gently to cover completely.
  7. Sprinkle flaked sea salt generously over the top before the chocolate sets.
  8. Let the bark cool at room temperature or place it in the fridge to set faster.
  9. Once set, break it into rustic chunks and enjoy!

Notes

To avoid a grainy texture in your caramel, melt it slowly. If using chocolate, consider adding espresso powder or vanilla extract for added flavor.
