  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Gradually add this to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
  4. Cover the dough and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  5. Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thick and cut with reindeer-shaped cookie cutters.
  6. Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes, until golden at the edges. Allow them to cool before decorating.
  7. Use frosting, chocolate, or candies to decorate your reindeer cookies.
  8. Chill the cut-out cookies in the freezer for a few minutes before baking for perfectly shaped cookies.
