Description

A delightful and refreshing beverage that combines the crispness of cucumber with the tartness of fresh lemons, perfect for summer gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 large fresh cucumber, sliced
  • 4 fresh lemons, juiced
  • 1/2 cup honey or agave nectar (adjust to taste)
  • 4 cups filtered or sparkling water
  • Fresh mint or basil leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Wash the cucumber and lemons thoroughly.
  2. Slice the cucumber into thin rounds and zest one of the lemons.
  3. Squeeze the juice from the lemons into a measuring cup, removing any seeds.
  4. In a large pitcher, combine the lemon juice, cucumber slices, and your choice of sweetener, muddling gently to release flavors.
  5. Pour in 4 cups of cold water and stir well.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  7. Serve over ice, garnished with additional cucumber slices and mint or basil if desired.

Notes

For a fancier touch, freeze cucumber slices or lemon wedges in ice cube trays and use them to keep your drink chilled. Adjust sweetness according to your taste preference.
