- 1 cup peanut butter (smooth or chunky)
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet, dark, or milk)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and creamy (about 3-4 minutes).
- Mix in the peanut butter until well combined.
- Add the eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix this into the wet ingredients until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are golden and centers are soft.
- Let cool on the tray for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For freezing, flash freeze on a baking sheet, then transfer to a freezer-safe container.
