Description
A simple and vibrant dish made with just three ingredients that results in a deliciously sticky orange-glazed chicken.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lb boneless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup orange marmalade (or 1/2 cup fresh orange juice + 2 tbsp honey)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
Instructions
- Pat the chicken dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with a small amount of oil and sear the chicken in a single layer until golden, about 4-6 minutes per side.
- Reduce heat to medium and pour orange marmalade and soy sauce over the browned chicken, stirring to coat.
- Let the sauce simmer until it thickens and glazes the chicken, about 4-7 minutes.
- Finish with a toss in the pan to ensure each piece is glossy. Serve immediately over rice, noodles, or a salad.
Notes
Use thighs for juiciness; control sauce sweetness by tasting during cooking. Crisp chicken before adding sauce for added texture.
