Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, and salt; whisk until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together granulated sugar, brown sugar, pumpkin puree, oil or melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Frost with cream cheese frosting once completely cool.

Notes

For added texture, consider mixing in chopped nuts or chocolate chips before baking. Always use pure pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling.
