- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the brown sugar and stir continuously until it starts bubbling.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes, watching carefully to avoid sticking, until the mixture caramelizes.
- Remove from heat and stir in the chopped pecans and vanilla extract.
- Allow the sauce to cool slightly before serving; it will thicken as it cools.
- Tip: Add a pinch of sea salt for enhanced flavor.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Can be frozen and reheated as needed.
