  • 1 fresh pineapple or canned slices
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • Fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Place your ham on a roasting pan.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and ground cloves to create the glaze.
  3. Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern.
  4. Generously spread the glaze over the ham, ensuring it seeps into the scored areas.
  5. Place pineapple slices around and on top of the ham, reserving the juice if using canned.
  6. Roast the ham for about 15 to 18 minutes per pound, basting with pineapple juice every 30 minutes.
  7. When the ham reaches an internal temperature of 140°F (60°C), remove it from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  8. Slice the ham, serve with the caramelized pineapple, and enjoy!
