- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (or almond flour for gluten-free)
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup creamy or crunchy peanut butter

- Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat and mix in the granulated and brown sugars until well combined.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.

- In a small bowl, mix the peanut butter with a tablespoon of sugar and a pinch of salt until creamy.
- Spoon the brownie batter onto the prepared baking sheet, dolloping the peanut butter mixture on top and swirling with a knife or toothpick.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges look set but the center is still slightly soft.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Using room temperature ingredients can improve texture. Be careful not to overmix to avoid tough cookies.
