Description

Delightful shortbread cookies infused with bright orange zest and sweet-tart dried cranberries, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • Zest of 1 large orange
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup dried cranberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Stir in the orange zest and salt.
  4. Gradually incorporate the flour and dried cranberries until a soft dough forms.
  5. Shape the dough into logs or disks and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  6. Slice the logs into rounds and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until edges are golden.
  8. Let cool briefly before transferring to a wire rack.
  9. Optionally, drizzle with icing made from powdered sugar and orange juice.
