No-Bake Salted Caramel Pretzel Bars

Description

Delicious no-bake bars combining salty pretzels, buttery caramel, and decadent chocolate.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups pretzels (mini or rod-shaped)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Flaky sea salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Crush the pretzels into small pieces or pulse in a food processor.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat, then stir in the brown sugar until combined.
  3. Add the sweetened condensed milk and stir until the mixture thickens slightly.
  4. Remove from heat and fold in the crushed pretzels until coated in caramel.
  5. Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper and press the mixture into the pan.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for about an hour to set.
  7. While chilling, melt the chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  8. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the chilled bars and sprinkle with sea salt.
  9. Once the chocolate is firm, slice into squares and serve.

Notes

Allow bars to cool adequately for easy slicing. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
