Description
A traditional beverage from Kashmir, this comforting pink tea combines green tea, cardamom, and crushed almonds for a luxurious sip.
Ingredients

- 4 cups water
- 1 to 2 tablespoons green tea leaves
- Pinch of baking soda
- 2 cups whole milk (or plant-based option)
- 2–3 crushed cardamom pods
- Sugar or sweetener to taste
- Rose water (optional)
- Crushed almonds for garnish
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, bring about 4 cups of water to a rolling boil.
- Once boiling, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of green tea leaves and a pinch of baking soda. Stir well.
- Reduce heat and whisk the tea vigorously for about 10–15 minutes.
- Strain the tea into another pot, discarding the leaves. Add 2 cups of milk and return to heat.
- Introduce crushed cardamom and sugar, allowing to simmer gently for 5–10 minutes.
- If using, add rose water right before serving.
- Pour into cups, garnish with crushed almonds, and enjoy.
