Description
A sweet and buttery corn dish that captures the essence of summer, made with fresh corn, creamy butter, and honey.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4–5 ears of fresh corn
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 2–3 tablespoons honey (adjusted to taste)
- Salt (to taste)
- Fresh herbs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Husk the corn and remove all the silks. Carefully slice the kernels off the cob.
- Heat a cast iron skillet over medium heat.
- Add the unsalted butter and let it melt and bubble.
- Add the fresh corn kernels to the skillet, stirring gently to coat each kernel with butter.
- After 5-7 minutes, when the kernels begin to caramelize, drizzle in the honey and a pinch of salt, stirring well.
- Remove from heat and toss with freshly chopped herbs, if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
For added depth, consider infusing the butter with garlic or chili flakes. Avoid adding honey too early to prevent burning.
