Ingredients

- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Combine the sugar, corn syrup, and unsalted butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
- Slowly add the heavy cream while stirring constantly.
- Continue cooking until the mixture reaches 244°F.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and salt.
- Pour the caramel mixture into a greased 8×8 inch pan.
- Once set, cut into squares and wrap each piece in parchment paper.
Notes
Use a candy thermometer for accuracy. Stir constantly while adding cream to prevent burning.
