- 3 ripe bananas
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- Mash the bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
- Add melted butter, eggs, and sugars to the bananas and stir until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- In a small bowl, mix remaining cinnamon with sugar for the swirl.
- Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan, sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture, add the remaining batter, and top with the rest of the cinnamon mixture, swirling gently with a knife.
- Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Check at 55 minutes.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack. Slice and enjoy!
Notes
For a healthier version, substitute butter with applesauce and use whole wheat flour.
