Instructions
- Chop the Chocolate: Finely chop the chocolate into small pieces.
- Heat the Cream: In a small saucepan, gently heat the heavy cream over medium heat until hot but not boiling. Remove from heat.
- Combine: Pour the hot cream over the chopped chocolate. Let sit for 2 minutes, then whisk until smooth. If desired, add the unsalted butter and whisk until incorporated.
- Chill: Pour the ganache into a greased baking dish or individual cups and refrigerate for at least 120 minutes or until set.
