Description

A comforting slow cooker chili infused with spices, tender meat, and hearty beans, perfect for cold nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey)
  • 2 cans kidney beans, drained and rinsed (or dried beans, soaked overnight)
  • 2 cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 bell peppers, diced
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prep your Ingredients: Dice the onions and bell peppers, and mince the garlic. If using dried beans, soak them overnight.
  2. Sauté for Flavor: In a skillet, sauté the onions and bell peppers until they soften, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Brown the Meat: Add the ground beef and brown it.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Transfer everything into the slow cooker and add beans, diced tomatoes, and spices. Stir to combine.
  5. Slow Cook to Perfection: Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  6. Taste and Adjust: In the last 30 minutes, taste and adjust spices as desired.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Garnish with fresh cilantro, cheese, or sour cream.

Notes

For a leaner option, use ground turkey. Customize toppings according to preference.
