Description

Delicate and colorful heart-shaped macarons, perfect for romantic occasions and special gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups almond flour
  • 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 large egg whites
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
  • Flavoring agents (e.g., vanilla extract, fruit purees)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and sift almond flour with powdered sugar.
  2. Beat egg whites until foamy, add cream of tartar, then gradually add granulated sugar until stiff peaks form.
  3. Gently fold the almond flour mixture into the meringue until smooth.
  4. Pipe heart shapes onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and tap to remove air bubbles.
  5. Let them rest for 30-60 minutes until a skin forms.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, rotating halfway through.
  7. Allow to cool completely, then fill with buttercream or ganache.
  8. Optional: Dust with edible glitter or drizzle with chocolate.

Notes

Ensure egg whites are at room temperature for better aeration. Use silicone baking mats for uniform shapes.
