Ingredients

  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 2 slices of bread (your choice)
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh lime or lemon juice
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat a pan over medium heat and add a drizzle of olive oil.
  2. Spread the frozen hashbrowns in the pan and cook until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes per side.
  3. While the hashbrowns are cooking, toast the bread slices until desired crispiness.
  4. In a bowl, mash the avocado and season with salt, pepper, and a squeeze of lime or lemon juice.
  5. Once the hashbrowns are cooked, top each slice of toast with a layer of mashed avocado.
  6. Add the crispy hashbrowns on top of the avocado.
  7. Finish with a sprinkle of red pepper flakes if desired, and serve immediately.
