Description

Transform your leftover Halloween candy into delightful tarts with a buttery crust and indulgent filling, perfect for sharing and making memories.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, cold
  • ½ cup sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon cold water
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Assorted chopped leftover candy (e.g., Snickers, Twix, Reese’s)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add cold water and mix until a dough forms. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Roll out chilled dough on a floured surface to fit your tart pan. Press gently into the sides and bottom, trimming excess dough.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, and vanilla extract. Fold in the assorted chopped candy.
  5. Pour the candy mixture into the prepared crust. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until filling sets and the crust turns golden brown.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm with whipped cream or ice cream.

Notes

Experiment with different combinations of leftover candy for unique flavor experiences. Sprinkle some sea salt on top for added contrast.
