Scale
- 10 cups popped popcorn (about ½ cup unpopped kernels)
- 1 stick unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ½ cup white sugar
- ¼ cup corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of sea salt

- Pop the Corn: Use an air popper or stovetop method to pop approximately ½ cup of unpopped kernels to yield about 10 cups of popcorn.
- Make the Caramel: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the butter, brown sugar, white sugar, and corn syrup. Stir until dissolved and bubbling, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add Flavor: Remove from heat, then stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of sea salt.
- Combine: Immediately pour the caramel over the popcorn and gently toss with a spatula to coat.
- Add Toppings: Sprinkle your chosen toppings over the warm popcorn, tossing gently to distribute.
- Cool and Serve: Spread the popcorn on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to cool. Once cooled, break into clusters and enjoy!
Notes
For a dairy-free option, substitute coconut oil for butter. Experiment with different toppings and flavors for a personalized twist.
