Description
Delicious fudgy brownies topped with playful toasted marshmallow ghosts, perfect for Halloween celebrations.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
- Chocolate chips for decoration (optional)
- Edible eyes (for decoration)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, combine the melted butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar. Stir until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually stir the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until fully combined.
- Fold in the mini marshmallows, ensuring they’re evenly distributed.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly. Bake for about 25-30 minutes until the edges are firm and the center is slightly soft.
- After baking, let the brownies cool for about 10 minutes, then gently press more mini marshmallows on top. Optionally, toast them under the broiler until golden.
- Add edible eyes to the toasted marshmallows to create ghostly characters.
- Let the brownies cool completely before slicing into squares.
Notes
