Description

A comforting and hearty casserole combining ground beef, egg noodles, and creamy mushroom sauce, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, corn, bell peppers)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the egg noodles in a pot of salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it apart until fully cooked.
  4. Add the chopped onions and minced garlic, cooking until softened, about 5 minutes.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the cooked noodles, beef mixture, cream of mushroom soup, and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
  7. Sprinkle cheese on top evenly and bake for 25-30 minutes until cheese is melted and golden.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving to help layers set.

Notes
