Description

A delightful treat combining marshmallows and nuts into chewy, flavorful nougat bars, perfect for holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup mixed roasted nuts (almonds, walnuts, pecans)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups Rice Krispies

Instructions

  1. Line an 8-inch square baking dish with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy lifting.
  2. In a large saucepan, combine granulated sugar, a hint of water, and corn syrup over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
  3. Allow it to boil without stirring for about 5–7 minutes, until it reaches the soft-ball stage (235°F to 240°F).
  4. Remove from heat and stir in the mini marshmallows, butter, and vanilla extract until melted and creamy.
  5. Gently fold in the nuts and Rice Krispies until well-coated.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared dish, pressing evenly down with a lightly greased spatula.
  7. Let cool at room temperature for about 2 hours; once set, lift out and cut into squares or rectangles.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For best texture, ensure bars are completely cooled before storing.
