Description

Indulge in these rich and flavorful chocolate bites that blend bittersweet chocolate, a hint of espresso, and nuts for a perfect festive treat.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz bittersweet chocolate (at least 70% cacao)
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar or coconut sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp espresso powder
  • 1/2 cup nuts (pecans, walnuts, or almonds)
  • Cocoa powder for rolling
  • Flaky sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. In a double boiler, melt the chocolate and butter together, stirring continuously until smooth and glossy.
  2. Remove from heat and blend in the sugar until fully combined.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and espresso powder, stirring evenly.
  4. If using, fold in nuts gently.
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and form the chocolate mixture into balls.
  6. Roll each ball in cocoa powder or sprinkle with sea salt.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 60 minutes before serving.
  8. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
