- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In the bowl with mashed bananas, add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir until fully combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped walnuts.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9×5 inch loaf pan and bake for 60-70 minutes until golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a twist, try folding in chocolate chips or dried fruit. Ensure bananas are overripe for maximum sweetness.
