Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pecans
  • 1 cup golden syrup or corn syrup
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 pie crust (homemade or store-bought)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Roll out the pie dough into a 9-inch pie pan, crimping the edges.
  3. Toast the pecans in a skillet over low heat until fragrant.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, golden syrup, brown sugar, and vanilla until well combined. Stir in melted butter.
  5. Mix toasted pecans into the filling and pour over the prepared crust.
  6. Bake for 45–50 minutes until the filling is set and the crust is golden.
  7. Cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes
