Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in the pumpkin puree, followed by the egg and vanilla extract, until combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, spices, and salt, then gradually add this dry mixture to your wet ingredients.
  5. Stir until just combined; avoid overmixing!
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Grease a cast-iron skillet or baking dish with butter or cooking spray. Pour the batter into the skillet and spread it evenly.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned and a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
