Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- ½ cup milk (or non-dairy alternative)
- ¼ cup melted unsalted butter (or coconut oil for vegan option)
- Brown sugar (for optional sweetness)
Instructions

- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
- In another bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, milk, and melted butter, mixing until well blended.
- Slowly stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing just until combined.
- Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and pat it into a rectangle about 1-inch thick.
- Cut out biscuits using a biscuit cutter and place them on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Cool on a wire rack for a few minutes, then enjoy warm.
Notes
Use cold ingredients for the best flaky texture. Letting the dough chill before baking can enhance flavor.
