These Easy Halloween Nutella Spider Brownies are a delightful treat featuring rich chocolate brownie batter swirled with creamy Nutella, decorated with candy eyes for a fun Halloween twist.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup Nutella
- Candy eyes for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat and stir in the granulated sugar. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and vanilla extract. Gradually add in the melted butter mixture and mix until fully combined.
- In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold this into the wet ingredients, ensuring a smooth batter.
- Pour half the brownie batter into the pan and drizzle half a cup of Nutella over it, swirling gently. Top with the remaining batter and drizzle more Nutella, swirling again.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs. Watch closely to avoid overbaking.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely before decorating with candy eyes.
- Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
For a healthier twist, substitute granulated sugar with coconut sugar, or use almond flour for a gluten-free option. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream for a delightful dessert.
