These Easy Halloween Nutella Spider Brownies are a delightful treat featuring rich chocolate brownie batter swirled with creamy Nutella, decorated with candy eyes for a fun Halloween twist.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup Nutella
  • Candy eyes for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat and stir in the granulated sugar. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs and vanilla extract. Gradually add in the melted butter mixture and mix until fully combined.
  4. In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold this into the wet ingredients, ensuring a smooth batter.
  5. Pour half the brownie batter into the pan and drizzle half a cup of Nutella over it, swirling gently. Top with the remaining batter and drizzle more Nutella, swirling again.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs. Watch closely to avoid overbaking.
  7. Allow the brownies to cool completely before decorating with candy eyes.
  8. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

For a healthier twist, substitute granulated sugar with coconut sugar, or use almond flour for a gluten-free option. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream for a delightful dessert.
