Description

Delightfully whimsical cookies filled with chocolate chips and colorful candies, perfect for celebrating Halloween with family.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet and milk)
  • 1 cup M&Ms or similar candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  6. Stir in oats, chocolate chips, and M&Ms.
  7. Scoop dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets, spacing them adequately.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers are slightly underdone.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes

For an extra touch, sprinkle sea salt on each dough scoop before baking for a sweet-savory flavor.
