Ingredients
- Gluten-free bread, stale or toasted
- Cremini mushrooms, chopped
- Celery, diced
- Onion, diced
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- Fresh sage, chopped
- Fresh thyme, chopped
- Vegetable or chicken stock
- Butter or olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Bread: Cut gluten-free bread into small cubes and toast them in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10–15 minutes. Let cool.
- Sauté the Vegetables: In a skillet, melt 3-4 tablespoons of butter or heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and celery, sauté until soft, about 5-7 minutes. Add chopped mushrooms and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Combine Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine toasted bread, sautéed vegetables, and fresh herbs. Add salt and pepper, and slowly pour in the broth, stirring until evenly moistened.
- Bake: Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish, cover with foil, and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25–30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes for a crispy top.
- Serve and Enjoy: Cool slightly before serving.
