Description

A comforting side dish with a rich garlic and butter flavor, perfect for family gatherings and movie nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf of French or Italian bread
  • 4 cloves of fresh garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Optional: Grated Parmesan or mozzarella for a cheesy twist

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the bread loaf in half horizontally, without cutting through the bottom crust.
  3. In a bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and salt. Mix well.
  4. Spread the garlic mixture generously over both halves of the bread.
  5. Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
  6. For a crispier finish, broil for an additional 1-2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  7. Remove from the oven, cool for a minute, slice, and serve immediately.

Notes

For healthier alternatives, substitute butter with olive oil or a dairy-free spread. Pair with pasta or soups for a delightful meal.
