Ingredients
- Flatbread (store-bought or homemade)
- Fresh spinach
- Mushrooms (shiitake, cremini, or button)
- Olive oil
- Garlic (fresh or powdered)
- Cheese (mozzarella, feta, or a blend of your favorites)
- Salt and pepper
- Optional toppings: red pepper flakes, herbs, other vegetables
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the flatbread by placing it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, drizzling with olive oil.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, add garlic, and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Add sliced mushrooms and cook until browned and softened, about 5-7 minutes. Add the spinach, salt, and pepper, and cook until wilted.
- Spread the sautéed mixture over the flatbread and sprinkle cheese on top.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the cheese is bubbling and the edges are golden.
- Let it cool for a couple of minutes before slicing and serve with fresh herbs if desired.
