Description
A rich and flavorful dish marinated in spices, perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs (thyme or parsley) for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken by whisking together mustard, paprika, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Coat the chicken thighs and let marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken thighs, skin side down, avoiding overcrowding.
- Sear the chicken for 5-7 minutes until the skin is golden brown. Flip and reduce heat to medium, cooking for another 10-15 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Optional: Baste the chicken with pan juices during the last few minutes.
- Remove chicken from skillet and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Allowing the chicken to rest enhances juiciness. Keeping an eye on cooking time helps avoid overcooking.
