Description
These Easy Delicious Buffalo Chicken Sliders are the perfect combination of spicy, buttery goodness and crunchy slaw, making them a crowd-pleasing favorite for any occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups cooked, shredded chicken
- 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 8 slider rolls
- 1 cup shredded cabbage or prepared slaw
- 1/4 cup blue cheese crumbles or ranch dressing
- 2 tbsp chopped chives
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Warm the chicken in a skillet over medium heat, and then add the buffalo sauce and melted butter. Stir constantly until the chicken heats through and the sauce coats every shred.
- Taste and season with salt and pepper. If the sauce seems thin, simmer for a minute to thicken, but do not dry out the chicken.
- Split the slider rolls and toast them lightly in a buttered skillet or under a broiler.
- Build the sliders by placing a generous scoop of buffalo chicken on the bottom half of each roll, then add a small handful of slaw and finish with blue cheese crumbles or ranch. Sprinkle with chives.
- Close the sliders and brush the tops with a little more melted butter; bake at 350°F for 5 minutes to meld the flavors and warm the rolls through.
Notes
For a creamier filling, stir in a spoonful of cream cheese while the chicken simmers. Assemble sliders close to service time to maintain texture.
