Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and cinnamon; set aside.
  3. Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in egg and vanilla extract until combined.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough and roll in a mix of granulated sugar and cinnamon. Place on baking sheets 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden. Centers should look slightly underbaked.
  8. Let cool before preparing the frosting.
  9. Whip together softened butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until creamy.
