- 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 2 fresh jalapeños, finely chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 cup bread crumbs (or gluten-free breadcrumbs)
- 2 eggs (for coating)
Instructions
- Prepare the jalapeños by removing stems and seeds, then finely chop them.
- Mix the cream cheese, shredded cheese, jalapeños, garlic powder, and paprika until well combined.
- Form the mixture into balls or flatten slightly for a different shape.
- Coat each cheese ball in beaten eggs, then roll in breadcrumbs until fully coated.
- Chill the bites on a parchment-lined baking sheet for at least 30 minutes.
- Fry the bites in hot oil over medium heat until golden brown, turning as necessary.
Notes
These bites can also be baked at 400°F for about 15-20 minutes for a healthier option.
