Description
Delightful crispy crackers infused with Italian herbs and rich cheeses, perfect for snacking or entertaining.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup all-purpose flour (or whole wheat flour)
- 1 cup grated aged Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup grated Pecorino Romano cheese
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh herbs (like parsley, basil, and oregano)
- Pinch of salt
- Pinch of black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, grated cheeses, and chopped herbs.
- Melt the butter and let it cool slightly before adding it into the dry mixture.
- Mix until a soft, cohesive dough forms. If too dry, add a tablespoon of cold water at a time.
- Roll the dough into small balls, then flatten each ball into a ¼-inch thick disk.
- Bake for about 15 minutes or until golden-brown, flipping halfway for even crisp.
- Let cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
For extra crunch, bake for a few more minutes but avoid burning. These crackers can be served with dips or as part of a charcuterie board.
