Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup hot honey
  • Fresh herbs (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the coating by mixing flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish.
  3. Whisk the eggs in another bowl.
  4. Pour panko breadcrumbs into a third bowl.
  5. Coat each piece of chicken in the flour mixture, then dip in eggs, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
  6. Arrange the coated chicken on a greased baking sheet, spaced apart.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C); broil for an extra 3-5 minutes if desired.
  8. Drizzle hot honey over the chicken once out of the oven and let sit for a couple of minutes.
  9. Serve hot and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free flour and breadcrumbs. Adjust the hot honey for personal heat preference.
