- Chicken thighs or breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup hot honey
- Fresh herbs (optional for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the coating by mixing flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish.
- Whisk the eggs in another bowl.
- Pour panko breadcrumbs into a third bowl.
- Coat each piece of chicken in the flour mixture, then dip in eggs, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
- Arrange the coated chicken on a greased baking sheet, spaced apart.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C); broil for an extra 3-5 minutes if desired.
- Drizzle hot honey over the chicken once out of the oven and let sit for a couple of minutes.
- Serve hot and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free flour and breadcrumbs. Adjust the hot honey for personal heat preference.
