- 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (regular or panko)
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the broccoli florets and shredded cheddar cheese. Add the breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Mix until the ingredients are evenly combined and the broccoli is coated in cheese.
- Scoop out small portions and form them into bite-sized balls or patties.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place the poppers in the basket, making sure they don’t touch.
- Air fry for 10-12 minutes, until golden brown and crispy, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For a vegan alternative, substitute the egg with a flax egg. You can also add sautéed mushrooms or bell peppers for variations.
