- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1/2 cup pecans or marshmallows (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Peel and chop sweet potatoes into chunks and boil in salted water until fork-tender (15-20 minutes).
- Drain sweet potatoes and mash in a mixing bowl until smooth.
- Add butter, heavy cream, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg to the mashed sweet potatoes and mix until smooth.
- Grease a casserole dish with butter or oil.
- Pour the sweet potato mixture into the prepared dish and top with pecans or marshmallows.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and heated through.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
